Austin-based restaurant Torchy's Tacos will open a new location in mid-September inside the upcoming Vintage Marketplace shopping center at Louetta and Cutten roads.

The new location will be the second Torchy's to open in Houston's suburbs—the first suburban location opened in Katy earlier this month—and the fifth in the Greater Houston area, marketing director Brittany Platt said.

Torchy's offers a varying selection of tacos including the baja shrimp—fried shrimp with cooked cabbage slaw and pickled jalepeos, onions, queso fresco and cilantro—and the trailer park, which is served with fried chicken, green chiles, lettuce, pico, cheese and poblano sauce.

The restaurant is one of several new businesses planned for Vintage Marketplace. Jersey Mike's, Nothing Bundt Cakes and VERTS opened earlier in June, and a Mod Pizza and Kriser's Pet Store are under construction. The center is anchored by a 44,000-square-foot Whole Foods set to open June 25.
