With all precincts reporting, Rep. Michael McCaul will keep his seat as the U.S. Representative for District 10 in Texas. McCaul received a total of 178,926 votes, or 57.37 percent of the vote. Democratic opponent Tawana Cadien received 38.39 percent of the vote with 119,728 votes. Bill Kelsey, the Libertarian candidate, received just over 4 percent of the vote with 13,174 votes.

Republican Kevin Roberts was elected state representative for District 126 over opponent Joy Dawson-Thomas with 58 percent of the vote, a total of 35,489 votes to Dawson-Thomas' 23,951. Libertarian Eric. B. Moquin won 1,731 votes. District 126 was formerly held by Republican Patricia Harless, who is stepping down from the position.

Incumbent Harris County Precinct 3 Commissioner Steve Radack won his re-election bid with 202,207 votes, or 57.7 percent. Democratic opponent Jenifer Rene Pool received 148,446 votes, or 42.3 percent.

Democratic candidate Ed Gonzalez is the winner of the Harris County sheriff race over Republican incumbent Ron Hickman. Gonzalez garnered 679,232 votes, or about 53 percent. Hickman garnered 606,570 votes, or 47 percent.

Incumbent Republican Gary Elkins won the race for the District 135 state representative with 32,664 votes, or 54.86 percent. His opponent, Democrat Jesse Ybanez, garnered 26,873 votes, or 45.14 percent.

Incumbent Republican Mark Herman was re-elected as the Harris County Precinct 4 constable with 206,400 votes, or 60.95 percent, compared to opponent Democrat Jeff McGowen, who garnered 132,228 votes, or 39.05 percent.

Democratic candidate Ed Gonzalez is the projected winner of the Harris County sheriff race over Republican incumbent Ron Hickman. Gonzalez has garnered 663,590 votes, or about 53 percent, with 235 of 255 precincts reporting. Hickman has garnered 595,820 votes, or 47 percent.

With 195 of 205 precincts reporting, incumbent Harris County Precinct 3 Commissioner Steve Radack has 199,643 votes, or 57.9 percent. Democratic opponent Jenifer Rene Pool received 145,320 votes, or 42.1 percent.

With 24 out of 30 precincts reporting, incumbent Republican Gary Elkins declared victory in the District 135 state representative race with 31,631 votes, or 55.32 percent, compared to opponent Democrat Jesse Ybanez, who garnered 25,554 votes, or 44.68 percent.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Republican Kevin Roberts was elected state representative for District 126 over opponent Joy Dawson-Thomas with 58 percent of the vote.

With 84.6 percent of precincts reporting in the state, Rep. Michael McCaul leads the race for U.S. Representative District 150 with 174,376 total votes. McCaul has received 58 percent of the vote, ahead of Tawana Cadien’s 38 percent and Bill Kelsey’s 4 percent of the vote.

With 178 out of 193 precincts reporting, incumbent Republican Mark Herman has likely been re-elected as the Harris County Precinct 4 constable with 202,998 votes, or 61.1 percent, compared to opponent Democrat Jeff McGowen, who garnered 129,039 votes, or 38.9 percent.

Harris County Sheriff

Incumbent Ron Hickman-R is up against challenger Ed Gonzalez-D in the race for Harris County Sheriff. Hickman, formerly a constable in Harris County Precinct 4, was unanimously promoted to sheriff May 12, 2015, to replace Adrian Garcia, who resigned to run for Houston Mayor. His goals include improving communication with community leaders in local neighborhoods, implementing new technologies and improving professionalism across the department.

Gonzalez served for the Houston Police Department for 18 years and recently completed three terms on the Houston City Council. Gonzalez said his goals include lowering the backlog of unsolved crimes, reducing jail populations by addressing recidivism and addressing jail conditions in general through better oversight and management.

Harris County Commissioner, Precinct 3

Incumbent Steve Radack-R, faces off against Democratic candidate Jenifer Rene Pool for Harris County Commissioner. Radack has served as commissioner for the past 28 years, while Pool has worked as a business consultant in the construction industry for over 20 years.

Harris County Precinct 4 Constable

Incumbent Mark Herman-R faces off against challenger Jeff McGowen-D in the race for Harris County Precinct 4 Constable. Herman was promoted to the position May 19, 2015—one week after former Precinct 4 Constable Ron Hickman was promoted to Harris County Sheriff. He said mobility and public safety are his No. 1 issues. McGowen—a sergeant with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office—said mobility and traffic enforcement are major issues for his campaign.

U.S. House of Representatives District 10

Incumbent Rep. Michael McCaul is running against Democratic candidate Tawana Cadien and Libertarian candidate Bill Kelsey. McCaul has served six terms as a congressman. U.S. representatives are elected to serve two-year terms.

Texas House of Representatives District 126

Democrat Joy Dawson-Thomas is running against incumbent Republican candidate Kevin Roberts and Libertarian candidate Eric B. Moquin. Dawson-Thomas and Roberts are both Houston natives and have said they would work more closely with community leaders to identify top issues if elected. Texas House of Representatives District 135

Incumber Gary Elkins-R is running against challenger Jesse Ybanez-D for Texas Representative in District 135. Elkins has served state District 135 since 1995. He serves as the chairman of the Committee on Technology and sits on the Committee on Urban Affairs. Elkins resides in Jersey Village. Ybanez was born in Three Rivers, Texas and is a U.S. Navy veteran. He is a member of the state Democratic Executive Committee and has served as precinct chair, an election judge and as Senate District 7 section leader.
