Harris County Emergency Services District No. 13 announced the unveiling of Cypress Creek Fire Department Station No. 25 in a May 19 news release. Station 25 will be located at 8639 Fallbrook Road, Houston, and is expected to improve response times to the surrounding area.

Community members are invited to view the new station at the May 21 open house from 12:30-3 p.m. There will be tours, lunch and family activities provided.

“Our fifth and newest station is the result of the need and voice expressed by the community who voted to allow us the funds and opportunity to address a more comprehensive response model in our district,” Fire Chief Richard Lieder said in a statement.

The three-bay station broke ground in December 2020 and became operational this January. Resources at Station 25 include Engine 25, Booster 25 and two high-water rescue vehicles.

According to the release, the CCFD covers approximately 32 square miles of northwest Houston, serving more than 80,000 residents. www.cypresscreekfire.com
