Students enrolled in Cy-Fair ISD return to school Monday, Aug. 26 following two weeks of professional development for district teachers. New student registration for the 2019-20 academic year is scheduled to take place on all CFISD campuses Aug. 13-16 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. When registering new students, the district requires the following documentation: a copy of the child’s birth certificate, current immunization records, a government-issued photo ID for the parent or legal guardian, proof of residency, child’s Social Security card and a report card or transcript from the child’s last school if the student is registering for sixth or ninth grade. Pre-K student registration will be held at elementary school campuses during this time as well. To be eligible for the district’s program, children must be 4 years old by Sept. 1 and meet the state’s eligibility requirements, which can be found here. Current students who have moved from one CFISD school zone to another over the summer must provide the registrar at the student’s new home campus with a current proof of residence during new student registration. The registrar can request the rest of the child’s records from his or her previous school.  To learn more about the district’s student registration requirements, visit www.cfisd.net/studentregistration.
