Gourmet hotdog restaurant Dog Haus Biergarten is expected to open this summer in a 3,264-square-foot location in the Copperfield area at 8422 Hwy. 6 N., Houston. The California-based eatery will be run by franchisee Jason Rappaport, who plans to open 30 additional locations throughout Houston and San Antonio over the next five years.

The restaurant specializes in craft hot dogs, including the Sooo Cali, made with wild arugula, avocado, tomato, crispy onions and spicy basil aioli. The new Copperfield space will feature a dog-friendly patio, multiple high-definition big screen televisions, and a full bar that will serve 24 beers on tap as well as signature craft cocktails. Other menu items include burgers, sausages, a fried chicken sandwich and shakes.

The Copperfield location is looking to hire up to 40 employees, according to a June 24 press release. Interested candidates can apply by visiting www.copperfield.doghaus.com.
