Texas Senate moves to fast-track special session agenda


On the opening day of the special session of the Texas Legislature on Tuesday, over the cries of Senate Democrats, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick took a step to fast-track two bills reauthorizing the Texas Medical Board and four other state agencies jeopardized by inaction during the regular session.

Bridgeland presents Parkland Village 


Bridgeland officials announced the builder lineup for Parkland Village, where homes in the first phase are already under construction. Officials plan to hold a soft opening for the model home park by the end of the year, and a grand opening is planned for spring. Parkland Village is the second of four planned villages in Bridgeland and will include 3,100+ homes at buildout. Cy-Fair ISD board elections around the corner


CFISD elections are scheduled for Nov. 7. Don Ryan, John Ogletree and Bob Covey have already filed for re-election.
