Bridgeland officials have announced two new family owned and operated restaurants coming this fall to their Lakeland Village Center: Chilosos Taco House and Edelweiss Stube.

Chilosos is native to Houston and touts homemade tortillas and breakfast tacos. Manager Samantha Myers said her parents started the eatery in The Heights, and the new store will serve dinner for the first time.

Two Cypress families will launch Edelweiss Stube, introducing locals to Swiss cuisine. Michele Laughlin-Payne, who will run the restaurant with her husband William Payne, said they plan to melt Swiss Raclette cheeses at dining tables, creating an experience that cannot be found elsewhere in the area.

More dining and retail options are planned at the 84,000-square-foot development later this year. Lakeland Village Center is the first of four “village centers” planned in the master planned community. At the end of 2016, officials announced a batch of tenants expected to open this year, including Pizza Cucinova and Bridgeland Fine Wines.
