Officials in Cy-Fair ISD reported 86 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on campuses from April 5-11, including 13 staff members and 73 students across the district.
This brings the district’s total number of cases reported since the start of the 2020-21 school year to 3,692. As of April 12, CFISD is reporting 91 active cases and 3,601 recoveries.
Cypress Falls High School was the campus with the most confirmed cases last week, including one staffer and five students.
The Texas Education Agency requires public school districts throughout the state to submit a weekly report detailing the number of test-confirmed positive COVID-19 cases among students and employees who participate in any on-campus activity. This data does not include students learning remotely and may not include those who test positive while in quarantine if they were not on campus during their infectious period.
