Harris County Flood Control District plans to hold an informational meeting about the Little Cypress Creek Frontier Program this Wednesday, Nov. 14, from 6-8 p.m. at the Richard & Meg Weekley Community Center, 8440 Greenhouse Road, Cypress.
According to a press release, the
Little Cypress Creek watershed encompasses 52 square miles in a fast-growing area north of Hwy. 290 that “lacks sufficient natural drainage to accommodate expected growth.” The program focuses on stormwater mitigation, flood damage reduction and water quality. Projects will partially be funded by Harris County’s flood mitigation bond approved by voters Aug. 25.
Residents will hear updates on the program and have the opportunity to share comments with officials at the meeting. Visit
