Soon after the new H-E-B Bridgeland opened in late October, buildout on a new Auntie Anne’s location began at the grocery store, Auntie Anne’s franchise owner Rosalyn Shaw confirmed in an email.

What they offer

The pretzel chain’s menu features soft pretzels ranging from a cinnamon sugar pretzel to a pepperoni pretzel. Pretzel dogs, bite-sized pretzel nuggets and a range of dip options are also on the menu.

Former Marine Thomas Perrin said he has plans to open a new Beans and Brews location in Cypress during the first quarter of next year. Beans and Brews offers blended drinks, frozen drinks, teas and breakfast food items. Traditional favorites include the cold brew and cappuccino.

A new location of Bojangles could be opening as soon as next spring in Cypress, according to permitting documents from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The fast-food joint specializes in fried chicken, offering boneless and bone-in options, sandwiches, biscuits, fries, dirty rice, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, and more.

Cheeky Monkeys will be opening a new location in Vintage Park, according to an Oct. 14 email from a company spokesperson. The business offers soft play areas for kids as well as a space to host birthday parties for children 10 months to 8 years old, according to the company's website.

Officials with Checkers confirmed a new location is opening in Cy-Fair in early 2025. The fast-food joint serves burgers, chicken, hot dogs, fries and shakes.

The details

This address was previously home to an Arby’s. That facility has been torn down, and Checkers will be a new 1,300-square-foot building, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Chimac officials said the Korean fast-food restaurant has plans to expand with a second location in Cypress by February. Chimac's original first location is in Cy-Fair off FM 1960 and offers Korean barbecue bowls, subs, wings, chicken tenders and seafood.

88 Korean BBQ & Sushi owner Eric Liu said the Korean barbecue restaurant has plans to open in Cypress by early next year. Liu said 88 Korean BBQ & Sushi will offer Korean barbecue including beef and chicken options, as well as sushi rolls, sashimi, hand rolls, ramen noodles, rice dishes and hibachi.

In addition, the restaurant will offer dessert options such as ice cream and cheesecake.

A new location of Jeremiah’s Italian Ice is coming soon to Cy-Fair, according to a news release from RESOLUT RE commercial real estate firm.

In a nutshell

The menu includes soft-serve ice cream, Italian ice and “gelati,” which combines the two treats. Dozens of flavors are available, such as cotton candy, brownie batter, mango, cherry, cookie butter, sea salted caramel, watermelon and cake batter.

Two other locations operate in the Cypress area—at 14119 Grant Road, Ste. 100, Cypress, and at 7918 Fry Road, Cypress.

La Argentina Artisanal Gelato owner Florencia Mansilla said the business is expanding with a new location in the Cy-Fair area by the end of November.

The details

La Argentina Artisanal Gelato has another location in Katy as well as Dallas and is expanding to Cy-Fair with co-owner Johanna Shambaugh. In addition, the business sells its gelato in 12 Central Markets in Texas, Mansilla said.

The Las Vegas-based speciality baked goods store Nothing Bundt Cakes will be opening a new location in Cy-Fair.

According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the 2,100-square-foot store started construction around Sept. 16 and is expected to wrap up Nov. 15.

Portillo’s will open a new location next year near the intersection of Hwy. 249 and the Grand Parkway in Tomball, according to a Nov. 13 news release.

Located within The Grand at 249, a new retail center developed by NewQuest Properties, the 6,250-square-foot restaurant will feature an American diner theme with seating for 160 guests, according to the news release. There will also be a double drive-thru lane, pick-up shelves and a grab-and-go area.

Per the website, Tommy's Express Car Wash has locations in over 30 states with several located in Houston.
