Several new businesses are under construction in the Bridgeland area. This list is not comprehensive.

1. H-E-B

The 100,000-square-foot, Texas-based grocery store is under construction and set to open later in 2024. Construction on a mass timber office building as well as restaurant and retail spaces are underway next to H-E-B.

2. The Waffle Bus

The popular food truck and eatery will soon bring a brick-and-mortar location to Lakeland Village Center. Menu items include chicken sandwiches, burgers, fries, wings, and “Fryders”—sliders with seasoned waffle fries for buns. Sweet waffle sandwiches are also on the menu, including Nutella banana, s’mores and chocolate covered strawberries, among other flavors.3. SafeSplash Swim School

Cammile Adams will bring a new location of the swim education franchise to Parkland Village. People of all ages can learn to swim, from infants to adults.4. Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy


This will be the company’s first Bridgeland location, and it is owned by Bridgeland resident EJ Davis. It will serve children ages six weeks to 12 years old with infant, toddler and preschool child care programs; pre-K; kindergarten; before- and after-school programs; and summer camp.5. Jiffy Lube

The service center will offer oil changes, tire rotation, comprehensive vehicle inspections and more.6. Star Shop Chevron Fuel Center

A new Chevron gas station operating under the name Star Shop is opening later this year near the Starling at Bridgeland apartment complex. Farhan Panjwani will serve as the store’s general manager, and he said he looks forward to supporting local schools with fundraising efforts.
