Owned by Polish couple Oksana Ramotowski and Krzysztof Ramotowski, Artisan Bread Gallery has captivated the attention of bread lovers in the Cy-Fair community.

The couple moved to the area from Massachusetts to open the bakery in February 2024 and has since expanded with a second location to better serve their growing clientele. The new location is set to open this summer on Jones Road and FM 1960.

From the oven

With over 25 years of experience baking, chef Krzysztof Ramotowski begins preparing his European breads at midnight daily.

Artisan Bread Gallery offers handcrafted European sourdough breads made from scratch with no preservatives. Located on Windfern at a former doughnut shop, the bakery offers to-go services.

Popular choices include the cranberry raisin walnut bread, regular sourdough and rosemary sourdough. The bakery also offers focaccia, baguettes and breakfast items, such as Polish doughnuts, Polish kolaches and breakfast sandwiches.

Additionally, Artisan Bread Gallery offers bread slicing services. Oksana Ramotowski said customers can keep bakery items fresh for up to five days in the refrigerator.

Staying local

Oksana Ramotowski said the response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive, and the new location will offer dining services, a larger selection of breads, a full coffee menu and lunch.

Through word of mouth, the bakery has grown to be well-known among the local community and often has customers who commute from other areas of Houston for freshly baked goods.

Artisan Bread Gallery supports its community by donating leftover bread to local schools, organizations and homeless individuals in need of a meal.
