Looking to try something new? Several new restaurants opened this summer in the Cy-Fair area.
1. Salt & Sugar Gastro Bar features a menu inspired by Italian and French cuisine, owner Lina Maria Correa said. Various pastas, crepes, risotto, steak, paninis and desserts are available for lunch and dinner. The eatery also features a kids menu as well as specialty nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages.
2. Joe’s Italian Restaurant & Pizza offers traditional Italian dishes, such as pizza, calzones, lasagna, manicotti and ravioli. Other menu items include specialty dishes, such as veal, beef, chicken, shrimp and lobster.
3. Brooklyn Pizzeria serves lasagna, manicotti, baked ziti and spaghetti with meatballs, and all the sauces are made in house. The business sells pizza by the slice, and it also serves several appetizers, including Buffalo wings and garlic knots.
4. KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot specializes in hot pot, a cooking method in which diners add ingredients, such as meat, vegetables, wontons, dumplings, tofu and seafood to a simmering pot of soup stock at the dining table, according to the website. Similarly, the restaurant also offers Korean barbecue, allowing diners to grill meats and vegetables of their choosing at the dining table.
5. Main Bird Hot Chicken serves Nashville-style hot chicken dishes, such as tenders and sandwiches, in varying levels of heat as well as mac and cheese, fries, and milkshakes.
9. Maika’i Hawaiian BBQ offers barbecue, seafood and other fare with a Hawaiian flair, including kalua pork, chicken katsu, kalbi short ribs, Hawaiian beef, and spam and eggs.
10. Two Hands Fresh Corn Dogs features traditional and specialty Korean-style corn dogs; fries; and a selection of specialty beverages, such as lemonade, pineapple and fruit punch slushes.
12. Dirty Dough Cookies, known for its “super-stuffed cookie bombs,” features permanent classic flavors—Stuffed Chocolate Chip, Brookie, Raspberry Toaster Tart, Reverse with Reese’s and Cookies n Creme—along with a selection of specialty flavors that rotates weekly.
13. Charleys Cheesesteaks & Wings’s menu features sandwiches, such as the Bacon Chipotle Chicken sandwich and the Old School Cheesesteak sandwich, along with wings, fries, and a variety of lemonade flavors and shakes.
