Montgomery ISD released a statement Feb. 15 canceling its all-remote learning day scheduled for Feb. 16. The district previously announced all students would shift to remote learning Feb. 16 as facilities closed amid inclement weather. However, no in-person or remote learning will take place Feb. 16, per the updated statement.
Additionally, the district plans to apply for a missed-school-day waiver from the Texas Education Agency, which would allow the district to not have to make up the instructional minutes, according to a statement from the district.
The MISD board of trustees meeting is still scheduled for Feb. 16.
