The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning for Montgomery County for 2-9 a.m. on Nov. 1 due to “sub-freezing” temperatures around 30 degrees.

The warning was issued at 2:37 p.m. on Oct. 31. The service expects this cold to be the first freeze of the season. Montgomery County residents are encouraged to bring in pets and plants to protect them from the cold.

Other counties included in the warning include San Jacinto, Polk, Colorado, Austin and Waller.
