The Conroe Fire Department has alerted residents of a road closure at the intersection of Hwy. 105 at South Pine Lake Road due to a gas leak.

According to Steve Cottar, deputy chief with the Conroe Fire Department, the gas leak was caused by contractors boring beneath South Pine Lake Road. The road closure is expected to last 8 hours, and traffic is stopped in both directions.

Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough also alerted residents to the road closure in a Facebook post.

Cottar said there are no further public safety concerns for the area.
