Food-insecure families can receive hot meals, school supplies and a box of food items as well as information about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and Texas WIC at the event. Registration is not required.
"Montgomery County Food Bank is thrilled to join forces with our esteemed partners, H-E-B and Conroe ISD, for the Summer of Sharing food distribution event that will have a tremendous impact on our community,” said Kristine Marlow, president and CEO of the Montgomery County Food Bank, in the release. “This collaboration embodies the spirit of unity and compassion as we come together to help food-insecure families this summer. I am deeply grateful to H-E-B and Conroe ISD for their unwavering support and commitment to making a difference in the lives of our many neighbors in need.”
The two organizations are expected to provide meals to over 1,000 families and children, according to the release.
