The Texas Department of Transportation is expanding FM 1097 between I-45 and Hwy. 75 from two to four lanes and adding a left-turn lane. Construction is about 79 percent complete.

FM 1488 expansion, overpass


A widening project to expand FM 1488 from two to four lanes between FM 149 and Community Road has reached 69 percent completion. The project also includes construction of a railroad overpass on FM 1488 at the FM 149 intersection over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks.

Timeline: Oct. 21, 2015-fourth quarter 2017

FM 149 widening


TxDOT will widen FM 149 in Montgomery by the end of the year. The project will add a center left-turn lane and span from FM 1097 to Hwy. 105.

FM 149 repairs


TxDOT sent a repair project out to bid for FM 149. The project will repair the base of a segment of roadway between the south Montgomery city limits to Keenan Cut Off Road.

Timeline: mid-2017-2018

FM 3083 railroad overpass


TxDOT has undertaken a project that will widen FM 3083 from two to four lanes and build a bridge over the Union Pacific Corp. railroad tracks east of Hwy. 75. The agency has already widened FM 3083 in a separate project from I-45 to the starting location of the overpass bridge. The project has reached 37 percent completion and is expected to take about two years to finish.

Hwy. 105 improvement project


The city of Conroe started construction on a Hwy. 105 improvement project Oct. 10. The project is 52 percent complete and will add a raised median throughout the roadway from I-45 to Frazier Street. The median will limit left-hand turns to designated intersections for transit safety purposes. Construction includes sidewalks on each side of the roadway.
