Fass Brewing, a new brewery and taproom, will open in late summer inside the historic Gentry Building in downtown Conroe, located at 236 N. Main St. Beers will be served directly from five-barrel serving tanks behind the bar, and President/brewer Dylan Emmons said in an email he studied brewing in Munich.
The Gentry Building was constructed after the historic Conroe fire in 1911, when the city mandated all new buildings must be built with brick, according to Fass Brewing's website. The Gentry Building was the first to be built that fall, making it the oldest building in downtown Conroe. www.fassbrewing.com
