Montgomery County commissioners are set to discuss an informational update on the state of the county jail for the forecasted inmate population growth at its July 15 meeting.
What you need to know
According to the agenda packet, commissioners will hear a presentation on the county jail and discuss the land swap agreement between the county and Howard Hughes Corporation, specifically within the Village of Grogan's Mill.
Commissioners will also consider changing the days of court from Tuesday to Thursday to accommodate the passing of House Bill 1522, a new state law that requires a three-business-day notice prior to a governing body’s meeting rather than a 72-hour posted notice.
