Positions 1, 3 and 5 are up for election. Only one incumbent, Position 1 Council Member Carol Langley, is running for re-election and is uncontested as of the filing deadline.
Mayor Pro-Tem T.J. Wilkerson, who holds Position 3, did not file for re-election. In his place, former Council Member Julie Davis and former Mayor Sara Countryman will vie for for Position 3. In Position 5, incumbent Patricia Easley also did not file for re-election; Juanita Simmons and Stan Donaldson filed to run for the position.
Early voting will begin April 24 with election day polls open May 6 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Montgomery City Hall, located at 101 Old Plantersville Road, Montgomery. The last day to register to vote is April 6.
