Nov. 20: Join the Turkey Trot

Nov. 29: Kick off the holidays

Guests can enjoy complimentary hot cocoa, music and fire-juggling elves as the holidays kickoff at Pine Market in Woodforest. Nov. 30: See a tree lighting

Visitors can celebrate Conroe’s annual tree lighting with a performance by the local children’s choir and photo opportunities. Christmas on Main, a family event with Clydesdales and live music, immediately follows on Main, Simonton and Metcalf streets. 5:30 p.m. (choir), 6 p.m. (lighting ceremony). Free. Dec. 4: Watch a Christmas parade in Willis

Dec. 4: Light up the park in Montgomery

Dec. 4: Shop for gifts in Conroe

Guests can shop from local small-business vendors for holiday gifts while sipping on wine, specialty cocktails or beer at the local event venue The She Shack. Dec. 11: Join a singalong

Dec. 11: Celebrate Christmas in Downtown Conroe

Residents can enjoy Conroe’s Toby Powell Christmas Celebration, including photos with Santa, shopping booths, inflatables, camel rides and a parade. Concessions and some activities will be available at an additional cost. The parade begins at 1 p.m. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Free (admission, most activities). Dec. 11: Celebrate Christmas in Historic Montgomery

Residents can enjoy holiday activities in Montgomery, including a parade through the historic district that runs north on FM 149. The theme is “Let it Snow.” Guests can also shop in the holiday market that runs from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at 14420 Liberty St., Montgomery. The Montgomery Snow Party with a snow hill for children and the young at heart to enjoy runs from noon-5 p.m. at 777 Clepper St. Attendees can also tour historic homes by candlelight from 4-8 p.m. 10 a.m. (parade begins).
