According to Montgomery County early voting data, 36,634 voters turned out to cast a ballot during the two weeks of early voting ahead of Election Day Nov. 7.

By the numbers

Historically, voter turnout has been lower on odd-numbered years than during midterm and presidential election years, although the number of registered voters has grown over the past five years.

What you need to know

On Election Day, voters will need to follow different rules from those in effect during early voting, including:
  • Voting time: 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Voting location: Varies by location; voters must cast their ballot at a designated location
  • Mail-in ballots: Must be postmarked no later than Nov. 7 to be counted
If residents are not sure of which voting precinct to cast their ballot in, the county’s voter registration status tool will allow voters to determine their Election Day precinct.
