The details
Assistant Superintendent of Operations Chris McCord discussed the process of attendance boundaries for Timber Mill High School, located at 2700 N. Loop 336 in Conroe. The Attendance Boundary Committee will discuss what schools will be part of the feeder zone.
“The challenge for your committee as we work on this for the next six to seven months is preserving some room for future growth of the campuses,” McCord said.
According to McCord, this is the plan for the committee:
- March 18: presented the rezoning process
- May 13: present an update of rezoning scenarios to the board
- July 15: present rezoning recommendations
In January, the board approved attendance zones for Eissler Elementary School and Mittie J. Campbell Elementary School, as previously reported by Community Impact.
The district established an Attendance Boundary Committee to study student growth in the affected areas, and to make a recommendation for attendance boundaries.
Through its website, the committee showed possible rezoning scenarios with map proposals for the new schools.
