See how teacher, superintendent salaries at Conroe-area districts stack up

Conroe and Montgomery ISDs had a smaller percentage of economically disadvantaged students than Willis ISD while MISD had the lowest percentage of English language learner students in 2019-20, data from the Texas Education Agency shows.

Student enrollment

Conroe ISD saw student enrollment grow more than 10% from the 2016-17 school year to the ongoing school year while Willis ISD and Montgomery ISD sustained at least 6% growth during that time.

Salaries

Conroe ISD's superintendent salary outpaces neighboring districts, including Willis, Magnolia, Montgomery and Tomball ISDs.

Student stats

The three districts had a smaller percentage of English language learners than the state average; however, Willis ISD had a slightly higher percentage of economically disadvantaged students in 2019-20 than the state average.

Future funding for Montgomery County thoroughfares unclear as state faces $4.58 billion shortfall

Since December, Montgomery County commissioners have been updating their 2016 thoroughfare plan, which will provide a comprehensive list of transportation needs. With funds from the county’s last road bond in 2015 beginning to dwindle, officials said they would need to identify funding at some point in the future.
