What we reported In 2015 the Johnson Development Corporation broke ground on Grand Central Park, a 2,046-acre mixed use development. The community is located at the southwest corner of the South Loop 336 and I-45 intersection. Once complete, the development could feature about 500 single- family homes, 700,000 square feet of retail space at its 336 Marketplace, a town center and a business center.
The latest Six model homes are open and available for daily tours. Construction of the 336 Marketplace is underway and could include retailers such as Kroger, Michaels, a Cinemark movie theater and a Dick’s Sporting Goods store, according to information on the Fidelis Realty Partners website. Additionally, there are 56 homes under construction in the development, including several that are move-in ready.
What’s next While there are several residents already living at Grand Central Park, the community is slated for an official grand opening in the spring.
