The Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce has canceled the 10th annual Tastefest 2020 due to the coronavirus outbreak, according to a press release April 7.

"They [the chamber's executive board] did not come to this decision lightly and were very mindful of what our restaurants, caterers, breweries and wineries are going through during this time. And this was not a decision that came without lots of thought and compassion for the time we are in," director of special events Courtney Galle said. "We want you to know that we are here for you."

Originally planned for June 4, Tastefest is a celebration where local food vendors, restaurants, breweries and vineyards share the culinary creations of the Lake Conroe area.
