Following a proclamation by Gov. Greg Abbott allowing local May elections to be postponed until November due to the coronavirus concerns, Conroe City Council will vote March 26 whether to push back elections.

The item on the March 26 council agenda states: "Discuss and consider ordinance authorizing the May 2020 general and special election for municipal officers to be moved to November 2020 uniform election date as authorized by order of Texas Governor Greg Abbott."

There are four contested positions for Conroe City Council, including the mayor.
