- Officials approved an application for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Grant from the U.S. Department of Justice. The application for the $47,491 grant would be used for portable LED information and warning signs for the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
- The court approved a 6-year property tax abatement agreement with BAUER Manufacturing for construction of a 57,000-square-foot building at its existing facilities at the Conroe Park North industrial park. The project is estimated to be $42 million and about $4.4 million would be abated under the agreement, leaving about $37 million in taxable expenses. The expansion is expected to create 25 new jobs.
- Commissioners approved the purchase of vehicles for several Constable precincts. The court approved the purchase of four vehicles for Constable Precinct 1, the purchase of a vehicle for Constable Precinct 2 and the purchase of 3 vehicles for Constable Precinct 3.
- Commissioners approved changes to several voting precincts for the Nov. 7 election. Voting Precinct 23 has been moved from the Cargill Education Support Center at 204 West Rogers Road, Willis, to the North Montgomery County Community Center at 600 Gerald St., Willis. Voting Precinct 25 was moved from God's Gathering Place at 13850 FM 1314, Conroe, to the Grangerland Community Center at 15636 FM 3083, Grangerland. Voting Precinct 73 will remain at the same location at 401 Sgt. Ed Holcomb Blvd., but the name of the building has changed to the City of Conroe Dean Towery Service Center.
- Commissioners approved a number of Montgomery County Animal Shelter initiatives. The shelter was authorized to transfer $95,000 from its spay and neuter program to fund the cost of medical supplies and given the ability to recognize its revenue on a monthly basis instead of annually. Commissioners also approved an application for a spay and neuter grant from PetSmart Charities. The court released $606,000 in funds from the fiscal year 2016-17 budget to the shelter that had previously been held back by the court.
- The court approved a $1.16 million contract with Smith & Company for a Willis-Waukegan Road widening. Commissioners also approved a $2.4 million contract with Smith & Company for a Longstreet Road widening and reconstruction project.
- Acting as the Montgomery County Toll Road Authority, officials approved a professional service agreement with CDM Smith worth up to $405,500. CDM Smith will conduct a comprehensive traffic and revenue study for the Hwy. 249 tollroad project on behalf of the authority.
