Government Reporter

Nichaela joined Community Impact in June 2024 as a government reporter for the northern Greater Houston area. Before CI, she worked as the news editor and managing editor of Texas State’s student run newspaper, The University Star. When not at your local council meeting, Nichaela enjoys live music, exploring and spending time with family.

Features Reporter

Jovanna joined Community Impact as a reporter in July 2023. As a features reporter, she covers the North Houston area, including Cy-Fair, Tomball, The Woodlands, Conroe, Spring-Klein and the Lake Houston area. She graduated from Sam Houston State University in December 2021 where she majored in mass communication with a focus in multiplatform journalism and a minor in creative writing, and served as a writer for the campus newspaper, The Houstonian. When she is not writing, Jovanna enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling and fitness.

Editor

Lizzy serves as editor for the Conroe/Montgomery and Tomball/Magnolia editions of Community Impact. Joining CI in August 2022, she covered government for Conroe, Jersey Village, Magnolia, Montgomery and Tomball prior to becoming editor. When not working, Lizzy enjoys hanging out with her dog, Twix, or watching reality TV.
