Jan. 20: Go fishing for rainbow trout

The Texas Parks & Wildlife Department will be releasing rainbow trout into over 205 locations across the state this winter. According to Carl Kittel with the TPWD, residents should be able to fish for the trout from January until the end of February. According to the department’s website, trout will be released into the Carl Barton Jr. Park pond Jan. 4 and Feb. 2. The department asks anglers to only take home five trout per day. Jan. 20-21: Learn more about money

The Greater Houston Coin Club is hosting the 66th Annual Houston Money Show. The two-day event will include 125 tables and 150 vendors. Jan. 22 : Enjoy a winery tour


The Lake Conroe Winery Tour takes attendees to three wineries near Lake Conroe: Bernhardt Winery, Blue Epiphany and H-Wines.
