Seniors in Montgomery County who are age 65 and older and who do not have internet access can call 936-522-4570 on Feb. 8 to be put on a waitlist, according to a news release from the Montgomery County Public Health District. The phone line will be only available Feb. 8 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and it is for a waitlist, not an appointment.
Other individuals eligible for the vaccine can sign up for the countywide waiting list online, which is available here.
County officials had discussed the need to offer a centralized waiting list as well as establish a call center for seniors at a Jan. 26 Commissioners Court meeting. Previously, only waitlists for individual vaccine locations, such as pharmacies, were available. This meant individuals may have signed up at multiple locations, making the process more convoluted, officials said,
