Ask the editor: What will we cover in 2019?

When I joined Community Impact Newspaper in June to help launch its Bay Area edition, I did not know what I was getting myself into.

Coming from a daily paper in a small city, I was used to covering a breadth of topics, but little did I realize just how much activity is going on in the Bay Area residents want to know about.

Our top 10 list of stories to follow in 2019 is just a small sampling of all the newsworthy events happening in Clear Lake, League City and beyond. There is no doubt new stories will break this year, too.

I have not been here long, but I have had a blast so far covering the big developments and stories readers want to know more about, including the Houston Spaceport, Proposition B, drainage issues and more.

I hope you have enjoyed our coverage of the Bay Area for at least one half of 2018, and you can rest assured we will do our very best to report the news and information you need to know throughout 2019.

Happy new year.
