Wings Over Houston, League City Music Fest: 6 annual events to attend in the Bay Area in 2019


The Bay Area is home to several big events throughout the year. Check out these events in 2019.

April 12-14
Southwest International In-Water Boat Show

The largest in-water boat show in the Gulf is held each spring at South Shore Harbour Marina and allows attendees to view and board freshwater and saltwater boats anywhere from 10 to 100 feet in length. Bands play live music onshore, and more than 200 vendors sell entertainment, apparel, outdoor equipment and more. Noon-7 p.m. (April 12), 10 a.m.-7 p.m. (April 13), 10 a.m.-6 p.m. (April 14). 2551 S. May 3-4
League City Music Fest

This two-day festival includes several well-known musical acts and other activities for children and adults in a carnival-like atmosphere, including a barbecue cookoff, arts and crafts, street performers, painters and more. Walter Hall Park, 807 Hwy. 3, League City.

May 4-5
Keels & Wheels Concours d’Elegance

The 24th annual Keels & Wheels Concours d’Elegance is a classic car and vintage wooden boat show hosted at the Lakewood Yacht Club in Seabrook. The show, which benefits Today’s Harbor for Children, will feature 100 years of Bentley as well as Lamborghini and Shelby vehicles, among others. May 9
Business & Wellness EXPO

The 31st annual Business & Wellness EXPO, put on by the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, will allow attendees to get acquainted with over 80 businesses in the Clear Lake area to learn about what goods and services are offered in their own backyards. 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Free. Oct. 19-20
Wings Over Houston

This annual airshow brings performing planes, jets and other aircraft to Ellington Airport, 11811 N. Brantly Ave., Houston. The show features the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, a skydiving team, war planes and more. 713-266-4492.

Dec. 7
Christmas Boat Lane Parade

The Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce hosts this festive boat parade. Watch at night as boats adorned in light displays and designs and playing music sail into Galveston Bay and return. 6 p.m. Free. 2551 S. Shore Blvd., League City. 281-488-7676.
