Schmidt Funeral Home now has two locations after opening a new facility on the Grand Parkway in August.

Cyndi Hoots, managing partner, said the new 26,000-square-foot location offers traditional and personalized funerals as well as life celebrations. The new site is also the first and only crematorium currently located in Katy, Hoots said.

Patrons can also opt for grief counseling, and there is a reception area for celebrations.

“It’s like no other,” Hoots said. “It’s absolutely gorgeous. People are just amazed. We’ve had many more people wanting to use the facility since opening.”
