As crews with the Texas Department of Transportation continue their work on the I-69/Loop 610 interchange project, the northbound and southbound main lanes of I-69 will be closed over the next two weekends, TxDOT announced Sept. 22.

From Sept. 24 at 9 p.m. until Sept. 27 at 5 a.m. and then from Oct. 1-4, all northbound and southbound lanes of I-69 will be closed at the interchange, a major connection point of two heavily trafficked highways serving the Greater Houston area.

The $259 million I-69/Loop 610 interchange project seeks to significantly enhance safety and improve mobility by widening the connector ramps to two lanes, increasing sight distances and providing remedies to eliminate weaving.
