A new luxury hotel is coming to Houston in late summer that will neighbor both the Texas Medical Center and NRG Stadium.

Blossom Hotel Houston, a 16-story hotel with 267 luxury guest rooms, suites, and more than 9,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event spaces, will open at 7118 Bertner Ave., Houston, bringing a host of amenities, including spacious living areas, an abundance of natural light, minimalist decor with lunar-inspired designs, fine dining, an on-site fitness center and more, according to an Aug. 2 news release.

Though no exact opening date was given, the hotel’s website lists Aug. 9 as the first available day for check-in.

The announcement comes after the hotel had originally planned an April opening.

“Despite the challenging past 18 months, we at Blossom Hotel Houston are steadfast in our dedication to invigorating the local economy and having a positive impact on the community as a whole,” said Pete Shim, general manager of Blossom Hotel Houston, in the news release. “We are prioritizing providing employment to the local residents with more than 150 jobs and offering a new venue for locals to gather and celebrate with loved ones.”

The hotel team demonstrated commitment to the Houston community during the winter storm in early 2021, when hotel owner Charlie Wang used his construction company to fix busted pipes for at least 120 families of employees and community members. www.blossomhouston.com. 832-734-8888
