It has been months, but Antone’s Famous Po’ Boys at Texas Medical Center has reopened its doors. The sandwich chain resumed operations at its Texas Medical Center location Nov. 2, according to a Nov. 2 post on the chain’s Facebook page.

This reopening follows a closure because of COVID-19 restrictions, which followed an original opening in January.

The sandwich shop offers hot po’boys, traditional sandwiches, salads and desserts as well as catering services.

First opening in 1962 as Antone’s Import Company—an imported gourmet food and spice shop—Antone’s has evolved its business over the last several decades into a regional producer and distributor of sandwiches and other Antone’s-branded products in 300 supermarkets across Greater Houston and Central Texas. 832-767-1873. www.antones1962.com
