Try new fall beverage offerings

Pumpkin spice season has arrived in Houston, and Common Bond Bistro & Bakery is celebrating with limited-time-only fall beverages and pastries. Starting Sept. 13, guests can choose from pumpkin spice latte, pistachio latte or pumpkin spice latte macarons and pumpkin cream cheese croissants at all Houston locations, including the bistro located in the Texas Medical Center.

Enjoy brews at the zoo

The Houston Zoo hosts this event for ages 21 and up. Attendees can experience the new Birds of the World exhibit that opened Labor Day weekend, hear live music and enjoy beer tasting from several popular breweries.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage month

The Children's Museum Houston is celebrating Hispanic heritage with performances and activities including pinata decorating, a weaving workshop, story time with Univision and a mariachi performance.

His professional breakthrough came when he was a contestant on the second season of "A Star is Born" where he won second place. Miller Outdoor Theatre will be hosting a concert with the Houston Jazz Collective as part of the Houston Jazz Festival.
