Here are six events residents can attend in and around Bellaire, West University Place and Meyerland this weekend. This list is not comprehensive.

Party at the Pavilion

PATRONS for Bellaire Parks is hosting their monthly concert this Friday. The September lineup features a Johnny Cash tribute band called "Walking the Line." Guests are allowed to bring personal coolers, blankets and chairs to the free event. Lankford's Bellaire, a restaurant that sells burgers and milkshakes, will also be on site for purchase.Do Ho Suh: In Process

This artist installation will be on display at Rice University’s Moody Center for the Arts from Sept. 6-Dec. 21. The exhibit of sculptures, drawings and artwork explores Do Ho Suh’s methodologies and practice through studio materials, collaborative projects and finished works.Tree ID Walk

Learn how to identify different trees with this new course by the Nature Discovery Center. Master Naturalist Jim McKee will be leading walks through Russ Pitman Park teaching guests how to identify the trees that live in the park through the use of leaves, bark and twig characteristics. No registration is required. The event will take place monthly on every first Saturday of the month.Sprinkler Days


The Nature Discovery Center is hosting sprinkler days for children this Saturday. The Center's front lawn, known as Pecan Grove, will be set up with sprinklers and kiddie pools of water and water toys for children to use. Kids can bring their own water toys and are required to wear a bathing suit. Adult supervision is required at all times for this event.Climate Justice

Harris County officials are inviting the public to help shape the county's first-ever climate justice plan with several public meetings being held throughout various precincts. Officials will share ongoing initiatives of the plan and are looking to receive feedback from the community. Guests are encouraged to register for the event here.Braeswood Farmers Market

Shop for fresh farm products, including pasture raised eggs, organically fed poultry, locally farmed honey, grass fed beef and prepared gourmet dishes. Food trucks are also available on site.
