Hurricane recovery supply drives in Houston are underway following two back-to-back hurricanes in other states in the Southern U.S.

Hurricane Helene caused damage and loss of life across North Carolina and Florida on Sept. 26-27, according to the National Weather Service. Ahead of Hurricane Milton’s landfall in Florida late Oct. 9 or early Oct. 10, multiple Houston-area businesses are collecting supplies to deliver to those affected.

1. Constellation Field Supply Drive

The Astros Foundation and Cotton Holdings, an infrastructure support services company, have partnered to collect supplies for North Carolina and Florida, according to an Oct. 9 news release from the organizations.
  • Collecting: generators, fuel cans, new phone chargers, extension cords, water, nonperishable food, pet food, cleaning supplies, buckets, mops, shovels, flashlights, batteries, gloves, tarps, large trash bags, diapers and bug spray
  • Oct. 10, 5-8 p.m.
  • Constellation Field, 1 Stadium Drive, Sugar Land
2. Minute Maid Park Supply Drive

On Friday, the Astros Foundation and Cotton Holdings will also collect supplies at Houston’s Minute Maid Park, according to the release.
  • Collecting: generators, fuel cans, new phone chargers, extension cords, water, non-perishable food, pet food, cleaning supplies, buckets, mops, shovels, flashlights, batteries, gloves, tarps, large trash bags, diapers and bug spray
  • Oct. 11, 8 a.m.-noon

3. Main Street Tattoo Company Supply Drive

Main Street Tattoo Company and Moved by Faith, a local moving company in League City, have partnered to collect supplies to deliver to North Carolina, according to the Facebook post from the business.

4. Bartholet Home Furnishings Supply Drive


Bartholet Home Furnishings has partnered with Rudisill Logistics Freight Carrier to deliver a truck of supplies to North Carolina, according to an Oct. 10 email. Supplies can also be dropped off at Catfish Festival entrances this weekend.
  • Collecting: Diapers, wipes, pull ups, formula, noodles, ramen, macaroni, soup, toiletries, feminine products, hairbrushes, deodorant, batteries, flashlights, socks, children's clothing and dog and cat food

Gov. Greg Abbott also announced in an Oct. 9 news release that he deployed additional Texas personnel, vehicles and aircraft to assist with emergency response efforts in Florida, including:Abbott also sent additional Texas Division of Emergency Management resources to North Carolina, according to the release.
