474 homes were sold in Hockley in the fourth quarter of 2024, and new construction made up 87% of those sales, according to the report.
Additionally, six of the top ten communities on the list were under $425,150, the average home price in Houston, according to the report.

According to the report, the communities that placed in the top ten best selling list, in order, are:
- Dickinson
- Fulshear/South Brookshire/Simonton
- Montrose
- Conroe Northeast
- Porter/New Caney West
- Crystal Beach
- Tomball South/Lakewood
- Bellaire Area
- 1960/Cypress Creek South
“These suburban communities are booming, highlighting the demand for affordable housing in the Houston area,” HAR Chair Shae Cottar said via news release. “With new construction offering more options at lower price points, these neighborhoods are particularly attractive to first-time homebuyers and those seeking more space and value. I believe we will see this trend continue through 2025.”
