League City just annexed 211 acres of land on its north and south side.

What you need to know

League City City Council voted 7-1 at its June 10 meeting to annex 131 acres of land located in Galveston County within League City’s extraterritorial jurisdiction and 80 acres of land located near FM 517.

Council member Andy Mann voted against the annexation but did not provide comment at the meeting for his decision.



The details

The 131 acres, located near Clear Creek ISD Challenger Columbia Stadium, are currently owned by Houston-based BC-SB Baybrook JV LLC, and the 80 acres, just north of FM 517, are currently owned by Houston-based Martron LLC, Ellen Lloyd Cummins and J.A.C. Interests Ltd, according to agenda documents.
