League City City Council will hear the second readings of two proposals to annex separate portions of land at its June 10 meeting.

What you need to know

City Council at its upcoming meeting will consider proposals to annex 131 acres of land located in Galveston County within League City’s extraterritorial jurisdiction and 80 acres of land located near FM 517.

The 131 acres are currently owned by Houston-based BC-SB Baybrook JV LLC, and the 80 acres are currently owned by Houston-based Martron LLC, Ellen Lloyd Cummins and J.A.C. Interests Ltd, according to agenda documents.

Council voted 7-1 to approve the first reading of two motions at its May 27 meeting.

What else?

City Council will also vote on whether to apply for a grant for the Texas State Library and Archives Commission’s Interlibrary Loan Lending Reimbursement Program Grant. The grant will go toward partial reimbursement of direct costs associated with participating in statewide resource sharing, according to agenda documents.
