Additional resources announced late in the day July 10 for the Greater Houston area include food distribution at Interfaith of The Woodlands and several American Red Cross shelters.

The Woodlands

Interfaith of The Woodlands is distributing drive-thru food and water pickup in its parking lot beginning at 8:30 a.m. July 12. Donations of nonperishable food items can be made at the Interfaith Food Pantry beginning July 11.American Red Cross shelters

The American Red Cross has opened 10 emergency shelters with area partners providing meals, places to sleep and cooling centers. On July 11, it will also be distributing food, water and emergency supplies in affected communities.

As recovery from Hurricane Beryl continues, local cities, counties and other entities continue to announce the openings of distribution and cooling centers. CenterPoint Energy is forecasting some customers to be without power until July 14, Community Impact previously reported.
