The Texas Renaissance Festival, founded by George Coulam, is the nation’s largest Renaissance festival, according to its website. It takes place annually on 70 acres of land in Todd Mission, outside of Magnolia.

Each weekend of the festival will include a theme, according to its website. The themes are as follows:
- Oct. 11-12: Oktoberfest
- Oct. 18-19: 1001 Dreams
- Oct. 25-26: All Hallow’s Eve
- Nov. 1-2: Pirate Adventure
- Nov. 8-9: Heroes and Villains
- Nov. 15-16: Barbarian Weekend
- Nov. 22-23: Highland Fling
- Nov. 28-30: Celtic Christmas
Tickets for the Texas Renaissance Festival are date-specific and vary in price for adults and children, according to the festival’s website. Discounted tickets are available every Sunday for veterans, active-duty military and first responders with active ID.
Children 4 years old and under can get into the festival for free every day, while children ages 5-12 can get into the festival for free every Sunday. Additionally, tickets for children ages 5-12 are half-price every Saturday and Thanksgiving Friday.
The festival also offers special ticket packages, including:
- Weekend passes: admission for a full weekend
- Stay-and-play pass: admission for a full weekend and a camping pass for Thursday-Monday of the same weekend
- Season pass: Admission to all 17 days of the festival
