Aug. 25: Meet a children’s book author

Author Sharlene Novak will read from “Happy Tails Camper Stories: Lucy Learns to Share” on stage, followed by a meet and greet at The Woodlands Children’s Museum. She will also sign copies of her book, which will be offered for sale.Aug. 25: Practice Yoga on the Green

Yoga classes will be held every Friday at 9 a.m. Bring a mat, a towel and a bottle of water. Samantha Walker has been teaching yoga for 10 years and is a 500-hour experienced registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance. Walker has taught at various gyms and studios throughout Houston since 2012.

Aug. 25: Go bowling with the chamber


The Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Ten Pin Challenge sponsored by Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital. Each team will receive three bowling games, shoe rentals and meal tickets.

Trillions of microbes make their homes inside human bodies, and a new exhibit aims to introduce guests to the complex world inside humans. Guests at the new interactive exhibit “Zoo in You” can learn about microbial companions, where they live and what ways scientists are discovering how important they are to personal health.
