Seabrook City Council member, Jackie Rasco, announced that she was stepping down from her role on City Council to run for Seabrook mayor, according to a Jan. 15 post she made.
“Serving on the City Council for the past three years has been a privilege, and I’ve worked diligently to address the concerns of our community,” Rasco said. “Every moment has been an opportunity to serve, learn, and grow alongside you. As mayor, my mission will be to strengthen communication with residents, amplify your voices, and ensure that your concerns shape our city’s future.”
Seabrook will call all elections at the Feb. 4 City Council meeting, city secretary Rachel Lewis said. If a special election is needed to fill a vacancy it will be called then, but no election to fill the vacancy will take place prior to the May 3 general election.
