With all 700 voting precincts reporting, Democrat Sean Teare secured a tight victory over Republican Dan Simons for Harris County District Attorney.
Teare maintained his initial lead over Simons with 741,397 votes, while Simons received 717,331 votes.
As of press time, no statements have been made from either candidate regarding the results.

With 685 out of 700 voting precincts reporting, Democrat Sean Teare retained his narrow lead over Republican Dan Simons for Harris County District Attorney. Teare has received 739,984 votes to Simons' 716,432 votes, making the candidates nearly tied as the remaining voting precincts still await final count.
Neither candidate has made any announcements regarding the results as of this update.

With the polls closed and unofficial early voting results released by the Harris County Clerk's Office, Democrat Sean Teare holds a narrow lead over Republican Dan Simons for Harris County District Attorney.
What you need to know
Unofficial early voting totals show Teare leading with 591,524 votes, or 50.62%, while Simons has 577,101 votes, or 49.38%.
Teare won his spot in the November general election after unseating longtime Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg in the March primary elections.
Results from Election Day voting will be available once all polls have officially closed.
