Bay Area residents will be able to vote on at least two races in runoff elections on May 24.

Harris County Precinct 2, which includes Clear Lake, has two Republican candidates on the ballot. Jack Morman will face Jerry Mouton. Morman won 40.3% of the votes during the March 1 primary elections, and Mouton won 22% of the votes.

Whoever wins the runoff will face incumbent Democrat Adrian Garcia for the position in November.

Meanwhile, Texas House of Representatives District 23, which includes a small portion of League City, has two Republican candidates in the runoff. Patrick Gurski will face Terri Leo-Wilson. Gurski won 31.4% of the votes during the March 1 primaries, and Leo-Wilson won 28.2%.

Whoever wins will face Democrat Keith Henry in November. There are no incumbents in this race.


Early voting began May 16 and runs through May 20. There are several early and election day voting locations throughout Harris and Galveston counties, which can be found on each county's website; residents must vote within the county in which they reside.
